Communications & Marketing Specialist
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Communications & Marketing Specialist for a remote role to support the promotion and public awareness of scheduled hearings and meetings. The right candidate must reside in NYC and be familiar with surrounding neighborhoods/communities for effective marketing and outreach. Candidates with an active LinkedIn profile preferred.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Associate degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating events or legal proceedings
Familiarity with NYC neighborhoods/communities for marketing and promotion of public hearings.
General ability to communicate with project team via email and, on occasion, via WebEx videoconference.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat for PDFs.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
Proficiency with social media and marketing/communication channels (preferred credential).
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Prepare and distribute timely announcements regarding scheduled hearings and meetings.
Ensure compliance with applicable public notice requirements and accessibility standards.
Draft, edit, and disseminate press releases, advertisements, and social media content related to hearings.
Coordinate with local media outlets to secure coverage and placement of announcements.
Develop content strategies that increase community awareness and engagement.
Manage and update social media channels with relevant announcements, reminders, and recaps.
Monitor community response and engagement.
Design and oversee the design of print, digital, and social media advertisements for hearings.
Ensure advertisements are clear, accurate, and consistent with organizational branding.
Maintain a record of all communications and notices distributed.
