Data Analyst
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a mission-driven Data Analyst for an onsite role in Long Island City, NY for the first 90 days, position could turn to hybrid. The Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights using SQL and Python, developing dashboards and reports using Power BI and or Tableau, and supporting data-driven decision-making for stakeholders.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of functional or data analyst experience
Experience collecting, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets
Strong analytical skills including data cleaning, analysis, and visualization
Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced spreadsheet usage
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
Familiarity with data warehouses, ETL tools, and/or other data storage solutions
Understanding of business processes and translating end-user needs into actionable data
Ability to conduct business analysis and research to identify key metrics and improvement opportunities
Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, structured approach to analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Computer Programming & Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with Python and/or SQL
Demonstrated knowledge of digital and analytical tools through certificates and/or certifications (preferred but acceptable as experience-based knowledge)
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and data sources to collect and validate data
Clean, manipulate, and analyze raw datasets to generate meaningful insights
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making
Support senior or lead analysts in delivering data-driven solutions to stakeholders
Identify trends, key metrics, and opportunities for process and performance improvements
Prepare and present clear, concise findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Develop documentation and provide end-user training related to data processes, reports, and metrics
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting outputs
