Project Manager – Childcare/Early Childhood Education
Position Overview: The Project Manager will organize, plan, and track workstreams for the Consolidated Map of NYC Childcare Programs. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects, working with multiple stakeholders, and applying project management methodologies.

SCOPE OF SERVICES: As a Project Manager, your responsibilities include:
Leading the Child Care Consolidated Map of NYC project from initiation to completion.
Managing inter-agency collaboration projects involving multiple City/State/Federal entities while applying Child Care/Early Childhood Education knowledge.
Developing project scope, designing program approach, identifying key data metrics, implementing cadence for ongoing monitoring, and identifying projects at risk.
Applying project management best practices to ensure successful project delivery.
Performing business analysis for project components, securing stakeholder support, and obtaining requirement sign-offs.
Coordinating project interdependencies, managing internal and external project teams for effective execution.
Developing work plans, tracking project estimates, managing resource allocation, reporting on project status, and ensuring adherence to requirements and standards.
Applying program and project management methodologies and techniques.
Managing project budgets and resources while finding innovative solutions to challenges.
Seeking opportunities for process improvement through data-driven strategies and industry best practices.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Candidates who do not meet the mandatory skills will not be considered.
Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience in Program Management or Project Management with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
Experience in a leadership role within Child Care or Early Childhood Education programs, preferably in New York City or New York State.
In-depth knowledge of New York City and/or New York State Child Care and Early Childhood Education regulations and local laws.
Proven leadership experience in inter-agency collaboration projects involving multiple government entities.
Ability to take strategic direction from executive management and contribute to strategic planning.
Strong ability to work independently and complete tasks without significant guidance.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage all project members and stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in project management tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience managing project budgets and resource allocation.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience coaching stakeholders in agile project management practices.
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Airtable, Azure, Jira, etc.
