Quality Assurance Analyst
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for a hybrid role in Albany, NY. Local candidates with an active LinkedIn preferred. The right candidate will come with strong experience in automation testing, manual testing, and behavior-driven or test-driven development methodologies. The ideal consultant will support project implementation efforts through meticulous test planning, documentation, execution, risk identification, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role requires hands-on experience with modern QA tools, test case development, automated script execution, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
*** Currently remote. May need to go into client office 1-2 days per week if needed, per client direction.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not meet the mandatory requirements will not be considered.
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 years of experience with automation testing.
Experience developing and executing automated test cases for web applications using MABL or similar automation tools.
Experience with load testing, including writing test scripts and working with JSON files.
Experience with API testing and database testing.
Understanding of SDLC processes and agile methodologies.
Experience in manual functional testing, test documentation (test plans, test cases, RTMs), execution, and test tracking tools.
Experience writing and testing to acceptance criteria.
Clear understanding of user stories.
Hands-on experience with natural language tools such as Gherkin for BDD, or equivalent TDD experience.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging test automation failures.
Familiarity with low-code platforms.
Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team and support other team members.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Support project implementation through comprehensive test planning, design, and execution to validate business requirements.
Analyze and plan test requirements and related QA activities, including documentation and test execution.
Proactively identify risks and present findings to the team.
Maintain a centralized repository of requirements and test cases.
Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts.
Perform ad hoc testing activities within short timeframes as required.
