Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Cisco networking technologies, network security, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will serve as the lead technical resource responsible for day-to-day network operations, configuration, and support of enterprise-grade network environments. This role is a fully, on-site position in Brooklyn, NY, Mon-Fri.

POSITION: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the lead technical resource for day-to-day network administration
Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment
Troubleshoot complex network issues across Cisco infrastructure platforms
Support and maintain Cisco Nexus, ASR, ACI, Catalyst, and SDWAN platforms
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
8+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and L2/L3 switches (Nexus 9k/7k/5k, ASR, Catalyst, ACI)
8+ years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
5+ years of experience in network security using Cisco ASA and Firepower
5+ years of experience with F5 load balancing solutions (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)
5+ years of experience in packet analysis for technical issue resolution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in education industry or with education-related projects
Certifications such as CCNP or VMware
Experience with SDWAN, vManage, and Meraki
Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented and process-focused
Experience with VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer
Familiarity with Splunk SIEM and SPL (Splunk Processing Language)
Experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure and ExpressRoute
Knowledge of network security best practices and implementation
